PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an endoscope capable of improving observing performance and treating performance when curving both of a first curving part and a second curving part and facing a tip part of an insertion part to a body cavity wall. SOLUTION: This endoscope 2 is provided with a tip part 21 having an imaging part to observe the inside of a body cavity on a tip side of the long and narrow insertion part, a first curving part 24 and a second curving part 25 constituted by rotatably connecting a plurality of joint pieces, and a soft, flexible tube part 23 which is continuously provided on base end sides of the first curving part 24 and the second curving part 25. When the second curving part 25 and the first curving part 24 are curved byθandθ+90 deg.C or more in a direction opposite to the curving direction of the second curving part 25, respectively, and the tip part 21 of the insertion part is directed in a substantially vertical direction for a longitudinal axial direction of the insertion part in the endoscope 2, a curving angle of the first curving part 24 and a curving angle of the second curving part 25 are set so that the tip part 21 of the insertion part may take a distance for a tangential line shaft of the flexible pipe part 23.
