PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and inexpensively joining a planar member and a tubular member together without using a means such as welding. SOLUTION: An elastic body 8 is arranged on the outer periphery off the small diameter part 63 of a die 6, and the elastic body 8 and the small diameter part 63 are inserted into the hole 41 of a link piece 4, so that the link piece 4 is arranged at a position orthogonal to the axial line of the small diameter part 63. Then, one end of a tube 5 is inserted into the hole 41 of the link piece 4p; the die 6 is inserted into the hollow part with the elastic body 8 interposed; and a punch 7 is inserted from the other end of the tube 5. When the punch 7 is lowered in the direction of the die 6, the elastic body 8 is compressed, which is arranged between the outer periphery of the small diameter part 63 and the inner peripheral surface of the tube 5, deforming in the area where the hole 41 of the link piece 4 is arranged on the outer periphery of the tube 5, along the outer peripheral hole 41 of the tube 5, with the upper and the lower part causing deformation pushed outward.
