PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool control system capable of appropriately controlling the service life of a tool at a site using the tool, keeping tools without excess nor shortage, and contributing to the improvement of the production efficiency. SOLUTION: This tool control system is applied to an NC(numerical control) machine tool 5 machining using a plurality of tools. This tool control system is provided with tool history database 4 storing service life information for every tool and storing and accumulating use time information and breakage information for every tool, an NC control device 1 controlling the NC machine tool 5, collecting the use time information and the breakage information for every tool used by the NC machine tool 5, and sending them to the tool history database 4 to be stored and accumulated, and a computer device 2 comparing the service time information of the tool stored in the tool history database 4 with the use time information and the breakage information for the corresponding tool, and determining the tool whose use time reaches the preset service life and the broken tool to the completion of the service life.
