MONOLAYER METAL BOND GRINDING WHEEL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase projection quantity of super-hard abrasive grains and improve super-hard abrasive grain holding power. SOLUTION: The super-hard abrasive grains 2 are temporarily stuck on a surface of a grinding wheel base 1. A main plated layer 4 is deposited by using electroless plating treatment while adding ultrasonic vibration to the grinding wheel base 1 in a state where the super-hard abrasive grains are temporarily stuck. Consequently, a plated layer of an interface of the super-hard abrasive grains 2 and the main plated layer 4 rises, and the super-hard abrasive grains 2 are electrodeposited on the surface of the grinding wheel base 1 so that the main plated layer 4 wraps the super-hard abrasive grains 2. High holding power is attained by the main plated layer 4 wrapping the super-hard abrasive grains 2. Thereby a thickness of the layer 4 can be made thin, the projection quantity of the super-hard abrasive grains 2 increases to improve service life of the grinding wheel.
