<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a logging method for a well capable of finding easily the level of a geothermal water stored in the well by using an optical fiber. SOLUTION: Geothermal water (hot water) 2 is stored in the depths of a well 1. A cable 4 is rewound and an optical fiber 10 which is a temperature measuring element is inserted into the well 1. Thereafter, ice 13 is thrown into the well 1 as a coolant. The ice 13 floats near the water surface of the stored geothermal water 2 and lowers the water temperature near the water surface locally. Then, a temperature profile TP in the depth direction of the well 1 is found by the optical fiber 10. The place K' of the locally lowered temperature is the level of the stored geothermal water 2.</p> |
