PURPOSE: A traffic information transmitting method using a wireless pager network is provided to reduce the volume of data transmission and transmit a large volume of traffic information within a short period. CONSTITUTION: In an information collecting procedure, communication information by sections, accident information, management information and living information are collected from various information sources. In an information processing procedure, the collected information is changed into a dedicated protocol and then transmitted to a wireless pager. In an information transmitting procedure, information transmitted from the pager is transmitted to the respective terminal by a wireless pager protocol that is, POCSAG or FLEX types. In an information providing procedure, information having the same cap code from the received POCSAG or FLEX signal is extracted and then provided to a user by a voice or character.
