PURPOSE: A torsion damper of a manual transmission is provided to reduce rattling noise by forming flow resistance with circulating fluid from a damper case through an orifice at low speed, and to prevent lowering of rotational force of a drive shaft by separating a hub from the drive shaft with rotational inertia at high speed. CONSTITUTION: A torsion damper is composed of a damper case(10) fixed in the front of a clutch housing(4) inserting a bearing; an impeller(14) mounted in the damper case, and arranged around a drive shaft(2) by turning with the drive shaft; and an elastic member(16) arranged between the impeller and the drive shaft. The drive shaft is connected to the impeller by the elastic member for turning the drive shaft and the impeller at low speed, and the impeller is separated from the drive shaft by the elastic member at high speed. Viscous fluid is filled in the damper case, and the drive shaft is passed through the damper case. A hub(12) is turned with contacting to the drive shaft by the elastic member at low speed, and impact is absorbed with passing fluid through an orifice(20) of the impeller. Lowering of rotational force is prevented with separating the hub from the drive shaft at high speed. |
