METHOD OF IMPROVING RECOGNITION RATE IN RECOGNITION OF SIMILAR WORDS AND SENTENCES

PURPOSE: A method of improving recognition rate in recognition of similar words and sentences is provided to reduce incorrect recognition rate when similar words and sentences are recognized. CONSTITUTION: Two or three recognition candidate words are selected through a sound recognition algorithm between a sound waveform inputted through a sound characteristic vector extractor and the first recognition engine and a stored pattern(S30). A weight window is used according to the positions of syllables of the candidate words, which accord with each other, through a window type selection unit(S50). A spectrum characteristic vector determines a finally recognized sentence or word using the sound recognition algorithm while passing through a multiplexer and the second recognition engine(S60).
