PURPOSE: A shock absorber of a hood lock in a vehicle is provided to minimize damage of a pedestrian by dropping a hood in an accident and to reduce impact transferred into the pedestrian. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber of a hood lock for a vehicle comprises a striker(2) mounted on an end portion of a hood(1); a latch(4) installed on an engine room(5); a latch bracket(110) elastically supporting the latch; a fixing pin(120) equally maintaining height of the latch bracket; a movable member(130) removing the fixing pin from the ratchet bracket; a tension spring(140) pulling the fixing pin toward a removing direction of the fixing pin; an interlocking lever(150) controlling movement of the movable member; a pressurizing bar(160) elastically pressurizing the interlocking lever by being contained in the engine room; a rotating lever(170) pressing the pressurizing bar; and an impact sensing lever(180).
