PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal device by which telephone directory data can be transferred between portable communication terminals without the need for re-entry even in the case of revised models and that can absorb a difference between the models and allows the portable communication terminals to manage the telephone directory data in a unified way. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal device of this invention is characterized in that it is provided with a telephone directory data management means that discriminates a data form of a telephone directory of the portable communication terminal and manages the telephone directory data on the basis of model information of the portable terminal device, a telephone directory data form conversion means that can convert a data form of the telephone directory into a data form of other telephone directory, and a telephone directory data storage section that converts telephone directory data of a connection destination portable communication terminal into telephone directory data of a prescribed data form and stores the telephone directory data after the conversion, the telephone directory data storage section stores the telephone directory data of the connected portable communication terminal and the telephone directory data management means manages the telephone directory data of the connected portable communication terminal.
