<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error correcting circuit and method for more precisely controlling transmission power in a mobile communication system using a W- CDMA system. SOLUTION: At the time of receiving data constituted of the same known continuous data pattern, an operation shown by (Sn+1+Sn*)+(Sn-Sn+1*)=α, and (Sn+1-Sn*)+(Sn+Sn+1*)=β(n=0, 1, 2,..., N) is performed on a reception side. (where, Sb is a first input signal, Sn+1 is a second input signal,(n) is '0' or a natural number,αis a first symbol estimation value andβis a second symbol estimation value.) The symbol estimation valuesαandβare calculated. The number of polarities included in the calculated symbol estimation valuesαandβare compared. The polarity of reception data on Sn or Sn+1 corresponding to the small number of polarities is inverted. Thus, the error in the received data is corrected.</p> |
