PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting method for an elastic ring capable of improving work efficiency without damaging the elastic ring 11 when mounting the elastic ring 11 such as an O-ring or the like in a mounting groove 10 provided on an inside diameter face of a hole part 5 of a mounting part 1. SOLUTION: This method for mounting the elastic ring 11 such as the O-ring or the like in the mounting groove 10 provided on the inside diameter face of the hole part 5 of the mounting part 1 comprises a process in which a receive jig 21 is inserted into the hole part 5 by matching its position with the mounting groove 10, and a process in which the elastic ring 11 is deformed and pushed into the hole part 5 by a pressing jig 31. The elastic ring 11 pushed into the hole part 5 by the pressing jig 31 is guided by a tapered guide part 22 provided in advance in the receive jig 21 and is fitted into the mounting groove 10.
