PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which does not cause overshoot due to overheating to such an extent that its temperature exceeds target temperature in power saving and further exceeds upper limit temperature at the time of the standby of a fixing heater by restraining the temperature rise of a fixing roller. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a fixing part having the fixing roller incorporating the fixing heater, a pressure roller rotatably press-contacting with the fixing roller, a fixing roller temperature detection means, and a temperature control means for controlling the temperature of a heating means based on the detected temperature, and the fixing heater is forcibly turned off for a specified time by the temperature control means after finishing image forming operation.
