ARRAY SUBSTRATE OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An array substrate of a liquid crystal display and a method of fabricating the array substrate are provided to improve aperture ratio and to fabricate a color filter with a simple process and a small amount of material. CONSTITUTION: A gate line(221) and a data line(261) are formed on a substrate(210) and intersect each other. A thin film transistor(T) is electrically connected with the gate line and the data line. A passivation layer(270) covers the gate line, the data line and the thin film transistor. The first pixel electrode(281) is formed on the passivation layer and connected with the thin film transistor. A barrier pattern(291) is formed on the first pixel electrode and has an opening that exposes the first pixel electrode. A color filter(292) is deposited on the first pixel electrode. An overcoat film(300) is placed on the barrier pattern and the color filter. The second pixel electrode(310) is formed on the overcoat film and connected with the first pixel electrode.
