PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driven turret device which is capable of preventing the operation to stop a turret at a normal stop position after once running over. SOLUTION: The motor driven turret device which rotationally drives the turret by a motor 30 and positions either of plural objective lenses onto the optical axis detects that the turret stops at the stop position after running over the prescribed stop position in accordance with the stop position information from a Hall IC sensor substrate 71 and the pulses from an encoder 72. The control data for rotational driving is corrected in accordance with the result of the detection. The turret is stopped at the stop position without running over after the correction by correcting the data in the manner described above.
