PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring howling sound of a Braun tube is provided to measure a vibration characteristic of a shadow mask by using a non-contact magnetic field sensor. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic field sensor portion(20) is used for detecting a variation of a magnetic field of a device under measurement. A signal conditional portion(30) is used for removing noise. A signal conversion hardware is used for converting a detection signal sensing the variation of the magnetic field to a format adapted for a howling analysis program. The signal conversion hardware is formed with an anti-aliasing portion(40) and an analog/digital conversion portion(50). A signal processing portion(60) is used for processing the detection signal sensing the variation of the magnetic field. A user interface portion(70) is used for interfacing a howling sound measuring device. A monitoring portion(80) is used for displaying a measuring result of howling sound and a state of a system.
