PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroacoustic transducer that can significantly increase the sound vibration band. SOLUTION: In the electroacoustic transducer where a light-emitting element 3 and a light-receiving element 4 are placed in opposition to a thin diaphragm 1, stretched and provided to a support member 2, the light-receiving element 4 receives light reflected in the diaphragm 1 from the light of the light-emitting element 3 and extracts an electrical signal to detect vibrating displacements of the diaphragm 1 due to sound, a suspension member 3 to increase the compliance of the diaphragm 1 is fitted to the outer circumferential part of the diaphragm 1, and the diaphragm 1 is stretched and provided to the support member 2 via the suspension member 3.
