PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct the normal recording operation even for vibration so small that a detecting circuit of a servo error signal does not respond to the vibration. SOLUTION: An optical pickup 12 is provided for receiving reflected laser beams L REF generated when a CD-R 10 is irradiated with laser beams L IRR. A gate circuit 31 supplied with an output signal S RD of the optical pickup 12 and a level comparator circuit 34 for comparing the value of an output signal D TAU of the gate circuit 31 with a prescribed reference value D TH are provided in this recorder. When recording, the gate circuit 31 is controlled by synchronizing with the signal to be recorded so that a signal in the prescribed periodτamong output signals S RD of the optical pickup 12 supplied to the gate circuit 31 is taken out as the output signal D TAU. An output signal S CMP of the level comparator circuit 34 is taken out as the detection result of the vibration of the CD-R 10 or the optical pickup 12.
