PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismoscope capable of easily and reliably detecting earthquake motion without using a viscous fluid. SOLUTION: A suspended shaft constituting member 25 constituted of a cylindrical member 20 and a lid body 21 with a suspended shaft insertion hole 21a is provided for the center part of the upper end of a lid pat 12 fitted in an inner casing 3. The shaft part 22a of the suspended shaft 22 is inserted through the suspended shaft insertion hole 21a. A locking part 22b is locked to the lower edge of the suspended shaft insertion hole 21a of a corresponding spherical shape. Sheet-shaped gel matter 24 is arranged in a mode sandwiched between the wind part 22c of the suspended shaft 22 and the lid part 12 over all the surface of the upper surface of the lid part 12 surrounded with the cylindrical member 20.
