PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device prevented from imposing a burden on a commercial power source when performing image forming operation by detecting the abnormality of a phase control means, informing of the abnormal ity by a display part and also restraining wasteful power consumption at the time of standing by. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a power control means (control part 112) performing the phase control of power supplied to a heating means (heater lamp 102) for heating a fixing roller 106 in accordance with the state of the image forming device. When the heat characteristic of the surface temperature of the roller 106 is nearly the same as the case all the power is supplied though low power supply is instructed to the power control means by a control means for controlling the action of the image forming device, it is judged as the abnormality of the action of the power control means. |
