PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current measuring method, in which a current flowing in one molecule or several molecules can be measured by a method wherein molecules are bonded to a conductive substrate so as to be electrically bonded, a conductive probe is brought into contact with the molecules, a voltage is applied to the probe and the current flowing across the probe and the substrate is measured, and to provide a surface measuring apparatus and a microscope apparatus. SOLUTION: The current-measuring method comprises a step, in which the conductive probe is brought into contact with the molecules bonded to the conductive substrate, a step in which the voltage is applied to the probe and in which the current is made to flow across the probe and the substrate and a step, in which the current is measured. The surface-measuring apparatus and the microscope apparatus are used.
