PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for joining a column to a horizontal member making it possible to easily implement a complicated joining method and provide a bearing force strong enough to eliminate the need for providing an opening in a bearing wall and omit braces. SOLUTION: A base fitting 1 comprising a pipe threaded on its outer peripheral surface and a plate from which the pipe is suspended is mounted on the side of the horizontal member 18 opposite to its portion to which the column 17 is joined. A bolt 4 is driven into the base fitting and inserted up to the column and a horizontal insertion fitting 9 is inserted from a peripheral side of the column and fitted around an end of the bolt. A corner mounted fitting 14 in the form of a right-angled triangular plate provided with reinforcing ribs is mounted at a corner formed by the column and the horizontal member.
