BRAID FABRIC HAVING GATHER AND FRILL AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a braid fabric having a gather or a frill simply provided with a gather or a frill at one side or both sides of the braid fabric in which when a braid fabric is mechanically braided and simultaneously a yarn for forming a gather or a frill or a tape for forming a gather or a frill and also for bonding is made and to provide a method for forming the braid fabric. SOLUTION: This braid fabric having a gather or a frill is characterized in that a yarn insertion weave for forming a gather or a frill is made at one end of the braid fabric or along the middle of the braid fabric and the stitches of the yarn insertion weave are provided with gather or frill shape retention yarns to be inserted into the braid fabric so as to alternately pass through the obverse and reverse. This method for forming the braid fabric is provided.
