PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth for coating, having good workability in processing and exhibiting excellent water repellency and stainproofness. SOLUTION: A coating component containing a polytetrafluoroethylene and a perfluoropolyether is impregnated in a cloth having a fabric weight of 30-300 g/m2 and a density of 0.02-0.3 g/cm3 measured under the application of the load of 1.961 KPa. A uniform coating film can be formed on a coating face in good treating workability by treating the coating face with the cloth for coating to obtain excellent water-repellency and stainproofness. Especially, when the coating component is impregnated in the cloth in the form of an aqueous dispersion, the cloth is suitable as a dry-bright type coating cloth to apply a small amount of the coating material to the coating face and leave the coated face without wiping out the material.
