PURPOSE: A variable cup holder for an automobile is provided to more stably hold and support a cup or a can by variably changing a part for holding and supporting a central portion of the cup or the can. CONSTITUTION: A variable cup holder for an automobile includes toothed parts(3), an upper end plate(5), a lower end plate(6), and rubber strips(7). The toothed parts are continuously formed on an upper end of a hole of a trim(1). The upper end plate has a steel clip for serving as a stopper by engaging the toothed part. The rubber strips connect the upper end plate and the lower end plate and are slantingly arranged at regular intervals between the upper end plate and the lower end plate. The upper end plate is rotated laterally at the toothed part of the hole of the trim.
