The turbo compressor, for an internal combustion motor, has an impeller which is connected directly to the motor crankshaft (18), without any intermediate gearing. The impeller paddles (10) are fitted to the flywheel (1) at the clutch (17). A pressure-tight clutch housing (15) has a compressor intake channel (11) to take in fresh air at the inlet opening (22) of the compressor.
