PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for improving segregation of charging materials of a sintering machine using wind force are provided to improve quality of sintered ore of a sintering upper layer and increase productivity by separately charging raw materials and coke breeze having fine particle sizes into the sintering upper layer. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus in which segregation of the charging materials is improved by dropping charging materials(2) in a storage hopper(1) of a sintering machine through a drum feeder(3) and a slopping chute(4), and using an air ejection means, the apparatus for improving segregation of the charging materials of the sintering machine using wind force comprises a second slopping chute(5) which is installed at the rear of the slopping chute(4) with spaced apart therefrom in a certain distance; and a classified material amount sensor(13) which is installed at the lower part of the slopping chute(4). In a method in which segregation of the charging materials is improved by dropping charging materials(2) in a storage hopper(1) of a sintering machine through a drum feeder(3) and a slopping chute(4), and using an air ejection means, the method for improving segregation of the charging materials of the sintering machine using wind force comprises the processes of collecting fine powder, coke breeze and subsidiary raw materials having low specific gravities through the second slopping chute(5) installed at the rear of the slopping chute(4) by ejecting air through the air ejection means installed between the drum feeder(3) and the slopping chute(4); and controlling an air ejection amount and a classified material amount through the classified material amount sensor(13) which is installed at the lower part of the slopping chute(4).
