Water flow is controlled by an electrical control system with one or more proximity switches. The basin (1) has an outlet valve (10) with an actuator unit. This switches the control system via a switching unit from a first operating mode, when it is coupled to the proximity switch (22), into a second operating mode, which determines a filling volume. The actuator unit consists of a rod assembly (4) with a micro switch (3). When the outlet valve is shut, the micro switch synchronously switches the control system via the switching unit into the second operating mode.
