Absolute position indication method for tape cassette player uses detected angular velocities of supply and take-up reels, their differentials and the radii of the supply and take-up reels

The absolute position indication method detes the angular velocity of the supply reel and the take-up reel of the tape cassette for a constant tape velocity and determines the differential of each of the angular velocities, for calculation of the absolute tape position using the angular velocities, their differentials and the radii of the supply and take-up reels. An Independent claim for an absolute position indication device for a tape cassette player is also included.
