PURPOSE: Provided are arylthiazol derivatives having herbicidal activity and a preparation process thereof. The prepared compounds have the novel structure and strong herbicidal activity. CONSTITUTION: Arylthiazol derivatives represented by the formula(1) are provided, wherein R is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C4 alkoxy; n is an integer of 1 to 5; Q is hydroxy, C1-C4 alkoxy, C1-C4 alkylamino, 1 or 2 of C1-C4 dialkylamino, or C1-C4 alkyl, benzyl or phenyl substituted or unsubstituted morpholine, piperidine or piperazine; A is hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, carboxyl, C1-C4 alkoxycarbonyl or cyanomethylaminocarbonyl; and W is oxygen or sulfur. A process for preparing a compound of the formula(1a) comprises reacting a compound of the formula(2) with a compound of the formula(2) in solvent in the presence of base.
