PURPOSE: A brake booster having a sound insulating member for a vehicle is provided to stream air actively, and to shut off noise efficiently by modifying the sound insulating member in an air intake part of a valve body. CONSTITUTION: A sound insulating member is installed in an air intake part(63), and a through hole(91) and plural connecting holes(92) are formed in the planar sound insulating member to penetrate an input shaft(40) and to flow air. The diameter of the connecting hole is increased gradually from an air inlet part(92a) to an end(92b). Air is sucked actively with increasing the diameter of the air intake passage in actuating a brake booster. The diameter of the noise passage is decreased gradually, and noise is discharged from the large end to the small end of the connecting hole. Air suction is performed actively with increasing the diameter of the air inflow passage. Comfortableness is improved with reducing noise.
