PURPOSE: A device for controlling a focusing/tracking servo in accordance with an external impact is provided to sense a degree of the external impact to compensate focusing/tracking servo operations, thereby normally driving an optical disk without errors of focusing/tracking operations. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup(20) reads recording data of an optical disk(10). An A/D converter(21) converts a tracking error signal into a digital signal. A focusing/tracking servo(30) outputs a servo gain value for focusing/tracking servo operations of the optical pickup based on the converted tracking error signal. A D/A converter(31) converts an output value of the focusing/tracking server into an analog signal. A focusing/tracking actuator(40) performs focusing/tracking servo operations of the optical pickup in correspondence with the analog signal. A sensor(60) senses an external impact or disturbance. An amplifier(61) amplifies output signals of the sensor. A band pass filter(70) selects bands of amplified frequency signals, and passes the signals. A comparator(80) compares the frequency signals. A gain control filter(90) controls the servo gain value of the focusing/tracking servo according to a compared result.
