KNIFE FOR REMOVING ALIEN SUBSTANCE ON WORK ROLLS

PURPOSE: A knife for removing alien substance on work rolls is provided to easily remove fine alien substance stuck to the surface of the work rolls in a process for rolling a stainless strip requiring high degree of elegant surface conditions. CONSTITUTION: The knife for removing alien substance on work rolls comprises a body(7) which is installed so that the body(7) is moved along a sliding base(9) arranged at the lower side adjacent to the work rolls; sliders(12) which are installed on upper surfaces at both sides of the body(7) so that the sliders(12) are moved back and forth along a guide(13); a knife shaft(11) both ends of which are rotationally fixed to the sliders(12); a supply case in which a knife(2) that is installed at one end of the knife shaft(11) is installed; a coiling roll(14) which is rotated by a coiling motor(3) so that the knife(2) drawn out from the supply case is coiled; and a knife holder which is fixed onto the knife shaft(11) along a length direction of the knife shaft(11) so that the knife holder supports and guides the knife(2).
