PURPOSE: A method for metal coating optical fibers grating of long period is provided to easily and uniformly coat the optical fibers by causing chemical reactions on the surface of optical fibers using silver mirror reaction using silver nitrate(AgNO3). CONSTITUTION: In a metal coating method for coating metal on the surface of optical fibers of long period equipped with a single grating or a pair of gratings, the method for metal coating optical fibers grating of long period is characterized in that silver(110) as a metal is coated on certain areas of upper and lower surfaces of the optical fibers of long period using silver mirror reaction, wherein silver is coated only on upper and lower surfaces of the grating(100a) formed in case of a single optical fibers grating of long period(100), on upper and lower surfaces between the gratings in case of optical fibers of long period equipped with a pair of gratings, on upper and lower surfaces of one side of the gratings formed in case of optical fibers of long period equipped with a pair of gratings, on upper and lower surfaces of one side and the other side of the gratings formed in case of optical fibers of long period equipped with a pair of gratings, or on upper and lower surface of the total pairs of gratings comprising a space between one side and the other side of the gratings in case of optical fibers of long period equipped with a pair of gratings.
