<p>A side element (31) for a drilling template for wells at sea, includes a hinge (32) by which it can be connected to a central portion of the drilling template, such that the side element (31) can move between a vertical and horizontal position. When in the horizontal position projections (41, 42) disposed on flange pairs (33, 34), abut against the central portion of the drilling template via contact surface (44) and prevent downward rotation passing the horizontal. This arrangement is said to reduce the forces constituting the reactive moment when the side element is in the horizontal position.</p> |
