PURPOSE: A device for sliding a car audio front panel is provided to slide the front panel, which is mounted on a front part of a car audio device as mounting a car audio operation panel, to lay or erect the front panel, thereby improving space utility of a front part of the car audio device. CONSTITUTION: A guide rack(10) forming a guide groove(11) has a projected spring hook(13) and a sliding hook(14) where a main spring(12) is hooked, and has a rack(16) formed with a guide gear(15) and a slide link(17) extended from a front part of the rack. On a main chassis(20), a rack shaft(21) supports a reciprocation of the rack by piercing through the guide groove. A damper gear(22) is in gear with the guide gear during the reciprocation, and is fixed into a right side of the main chassis. On a front chassis(30), link guide grooves(31, 31') and link taps(32, 32') are formed. A link guide concave groove(33) and a spring hook are formed on the link guide groove(31'). The other end of the main spring is hooked over the spring hook. Supplementary spring hooks where supplementary springs are hooked are projected on the front chassis. A trim plate(40) forming link guide grooves forms a CD or a cassette tape window(42). On a front panel(60), a car audio operation panel and link bushings(61) are formed. A link guide groove(62) is formed on a right side of the front panel. The front panel is coupled with the front chassis and the guide rack. When a user slides the guide rack, the spring hook and the main spring are laid down to expose the trim plate. A link unit couples the front chassis with the front panel, and locks or unlocks a sliding operation of the guide rack.
