A depalletizer for layered removal and orientation of elongate elements stacked onto each other, preferably upon a pallet (10), is disclosed. The stack of elongate elements can be elevated (D) as the respective layers are removed. A substantially horizontal shove table (3) and pusher means are arranged adjacent to the top layer of the stack of elongate elements. The pusher can be activated to displace the top of elongate elements (5) along the top of the next layer of elongate elements (5) and onto the shove table (3). The shove table (3) terminates in an in respect to the displacement direction (E) oblique edge (4), which oblique edge (4) defines the starting line of a downwards sloping chute (6) having converging side walls (7). |
