PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make only a carrier component carry a catalytically active component by utilizing a container integrated type carrier. SOLUTION: The container integrated type carrier, wherein a ceramic carrier is preliminarily held on a metal outer cylinder through a holding mat, is used and, when the container integrated type carrier is made to carry the catalytically active component, sealing is applied to the carrier before being made to carry the catalytically active component.
