PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for running a tape with a proper back tension where a load around a tape feeding reel exceeds an upper limit for tape running in a conventional method. SOLUTION: A motor for driving the tape feeding reel is rotated and driven in a tape feeding direction while rotating and driving a tape winding reel driving motor in a tape winding direction so that the tape is run.
