PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver that can reduce an entire time required for a search processing of a station presence channel of an analog/ digital broadcast program. SOLUTION: The digital/analog broadcast receiver is provided with a main CPU 18 that mainly controls a digital broadcast processing system and with a sub CPU 21 that mainly conducts input processing or the like of a remote control signal by a remote control transmitter 19. The main CPU 18 applies a station presence channel search processing to a ground wave digital tuner 2. Then the digital/analog broadcast receiver is configured such that the digital/ analog broadcast receiver allows the sub CPU 21 to have charge of a station presence channel search processing of a ground wave analog tuner 4 so as to allow both the CPUs 18, 21 to perform the channel searches in parallel.
