PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive viewfinder mount device that can be attached/detached with one operation and can utilize an existing battery adaptor as it is and to provide a camcorder. SOLUTION: The viewfinder mount device has a viewfinder mount metallic fixture 1 to mount a viewfinder, a panning/tilt metallic fixture 2 that is connected to the viewfinder mount metallic fixture 1 and has a panning/tilt function, a panning lock knob 3 that locks the panning function, a tilt lock knob 4 that locks the tilt function, and a tilt support base 5 that engages with the panning/ tilt metallic fixture 2, and the tilt support base 5 is provided with a guide pin 6 that can be inserted through a guide hole of the battery adaptor of the camcorder.
