PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data quantity charging system for allowing a server side to share the communication fee of specific terminal equipment. SOLUTION: In this data quantity charging system, a communication line 3 of an electric communication agent is used for data communication between terminal equipment 1 and a server 10 so that the terminal equipment user can be charged with a communication fee corresponding to the data quantity of data transmitted and received between the terminal equipment 1 and the server 10. The server 10 is provided with an ID recognizing means 12, a data quantity measuring means 14, and a communication fee calculating means 15, and pays the calculated communication fee to the electric communication agent inplace of the terminal equipment user. Thus, the terminal equipment user can be positively encouraged to connect the terminal equipment to the server, and efficient marketing activity can be carried out.
