PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance, and improve reliability by providing a means for informing a degree of dirty to a maintenance worker to eliminate the waste maintenance in the present state that the periodical maintenance is performed to periodically clean a magnetic head even in a device with a low frequency in use of MS because the magnetic head used to read and write a MS tape in the present MS control with a bankbook printer is dirtied by the magnetic powder generated from the magnetic tape and becomes hard to normally read and write. SOLUTION: A magnetic head of a MS unit is formed with a dirty detecting sensor 9 to monitor the dirty condition of the head per each operation of the MS. When the dirty condition of the head exceeds the set value, a head dirty alarm LED 5 is lit to inform the maintenance worker. |
