摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transfer unevenness measuring method of the conductive brush of a transfer belt device with which an abnormal image (having vertical black bands) is prevented from being generated by using a brush which is selected by a first-order formula which is made clear preliminarily from experimental data which are obtained by measuring positions of resistance unevenness in the transfer paper advancing direction from the most upstream position of conductive brushes and data of values of current flowing into these positions. SOLUTION: When the distance between a certain position in a contact area of the transfer belt and a part in the contact area nearest to an image carrier body and current flowing into the part are defined respective as L and I, a transfer brush 1 satisfying I<aL+b (a>0, b>0) is selected. The measuring of the transfer unevenness of the transfer brush 1 is performed by using the equation I=V*Ip/(V-Rp*Ip) when an application voltage at the time of measuring resistance unevenness and the resistance value of a protective resistance 4 and partial current flowing at that time are defined respectively as V, Rp and Ip.
