The acoustic absorption complex, for use between a source of noise such as a motor vehicle engine and a reflective medium (7) such as a road surface, consists of a screen (4) and a fibrous or cellular sound absorbing material (6). The screen is made from a plastic material with perforations (5) to allow the passage of sound waves (8) reflected by the surface (7) so they can be absorbed by the material (6), which can be of foam, felt, tyre waste, fabric, paper or carpet.
