PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by more accurately detecting the amount of recovered toner in accordance with a paper passing condition, making the driving interval of a powder carrying pump large and making the rate of recycled toner in developer constant. SOLUTION: When copying is started by depressing a start switch, the number of the pixels of a formed image is counted to convert the number of the pixels into toner consumption (a), and also a constant numerical value (b) set in advance is added to the integrated value (c) of the toner consumption until then at the time of detecting the driving of a photoreceptor driving motor. Then, a difference between toner concentration in the developer and the target value of the toner concentration is obtained, a coefficient (n) is decided based on the extent of the difference, the toner consumption (a) is corrected by multiplying the coefficient (n), and the corrected value is added to the integrated value (c) of the toner consumption until then so as to obtain the new integrated value (x) of the toner consumption. When the integrated value (x) of the toner consumption is equal to or above the fixed value (d), a clutch is turned on and also an air pump is turned on. |
