PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-output, small-sized ultrasonic motor having output even in the forward and reverse rotations, and to obtain an electronic device utilizing the ultrasonic motor. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic motor 100 is piled on an oscillating body 130, in such a way that a positional phase is displaced by 90 degrees between a first standing wave 115 generated by a first piezoelectric element 110 and a second standing wave 125 generated by a second piezoelectric element 120. Protrusions 150 are provided on the nodes and antinodes of a standing wave, obtained by combining the first standing wave 115 and the second standing wave 125. By selecting and exciting one of the first standing wave 115 and the second standing wave 120, forward or reverse rotations are selected and driven of a moving object 160, onto which the protrusions 150 are pressed. |
