PRIVATE BRANCH EXCHANGE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch exchange system consisting of a private branch of exchange and a PC server having a voice mail function and an IP phone function, that can interlock the private branch exchange with the PC server not through a subscriber I/F. SOLUTION: A PBX interface section 1 is provided to a PC server section 2 to convert a speech path system/voice system interface signal 6 of the private branch exchange 3 into a signal of a PC/AT extension bus 14, and employing a compression/decoding and packet/de-packet technology directly couples voice data in the speech path system/voice system interface signal 6 with the PC/AT extension bus 14 to interlock the private branch exchange 3 with the voice mail function and the IP phone function realized by a central processing section 4 of the PC server section 2.
