PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide musical composition data conversion system which can obtain the data of a new piece of music realized as a musical composition although the memory capacity is limited. SOLUTION: In the system of this invention, accompaniment pattern data DAb consist of a plurality of accompaniment pattern data groups each of which includes one or more pieces of accompaniment sequence information, and are inputted together with the original melody data OMa and priority information PR. Priority information PR instructs an editing (conversion) processing part ED about priority, such as the 'degree of priority' between the groups, the level of importance of accompaniment sequence information within the group, and the importance of the range within the original melody data OMa. On the basis of each accompaniment sequence information and according to the priority shown by priority information PR, the edition processing part ED converts accompaniment pattern information into accompaniment data AC matching the main melody of the original melody data OMa, and generates new musical composition data NM of a desired data size having the converted accompaniment data AC. |
