PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacturing methods for an alternating-current generator and for its stator, wherein a high space factor of stator winding is attained and the generator and the stator are manufactured with ease. SOLUTION: The stator of the alternating-current generator for vehicle includes a stator core and stator winding formed by winding six winding strands. The stator is manufactured by forming a strip-shaped home coil by spirally winding six winding strands and also forming the home coil into a ring shape with overlapping bath ends of the coil, and inserting it into the slots in the stator core.
